DIY PVC Pipe INDOOR camping tent!
If your wee ones aren't ready for the outdoors or even the backyard set up this super simple PVC pipe tent indoors! It'll go the distance!
I started in the PVC aisle at Lowes. I was totally overwhelmed because I could only find pictures and not directions. So after some standing. Some him-hawwing and some pretending that I knew what I was doing. I figured it out.
First--- the aisle for PVC is usually 2 aisles and it's the FULL LENGTH. The sizing you're looking for is 3/4 in to 1 inch and I finally found all the joint pieces I need by just.. WALKING FURTHER DOWN THE AISLE. ( 40 MINUTES LATER)
So I'll make it easy for you. This section.
Two of these. 3/4 in 90 degree side outlet elbow (slip) -- that means no threads!
Four of these. 3/4 x 1/2" elbow slip x thread)
7 of these! I did NOT cut the pieces! Put it together like this.
All done.
Now get some fabric. An old sheet. A table cloth. An old shower curtain.
Use "stitch witch" to iron and fuse the fabric together if you cannot sew. I created slip pockets for the bottom two sides and just threw it over the top of the middle section and back down the other side to another slip pocket I created.
That's it. Once the fabric is on and secure. The structure is more sturdy than when it's standing alone! The girls LOVE IT.
