DISNEY ON ICE 100 YEARS OF MAGIC: EDITOR REVIEW

Disney On Ice Never Disappoints!

By Debby Perry, Editor Macaroni Kid of Pittsburgh LLC February 24, 2014
It's always an exciting week when Disney On Ice is in town. We wake up daily to the never ending question..."is it today Mommy?"
Finally perched in our seats at CONSOL Energy center I turned to my right and told my cherubic little 4 year old-- IT'S TIME!

"SQUEEEEEEEEE" said she.
Folks, there's probably a 100 ways to say it, 40 million ways to twist the words but the truth is this:

 Disney On Ice never disappoints.

It's such a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the world. A time to sit and clap with glee while your favorite characters glide across the ice. A time to stuff your face with cotton candy while cheering on Aladdin and the gazillion million "Genies of The Lamp."

I've seen so very many Disney On Ice shows and each one is always spectacularly unique. They twist each one so that it's familiar yet not a repeat of something you've seen previously.  Each show captures the audience in some way and all have surprises in store for all ages, boy or girl! My kids were particularly happy to see Pocahontas, Stitch and the Lion King!

This particular stage show offered one of my very favorites.  Mulan.  Insert "SQUEEEE!!"

The movie Mulan is so dynamic.  Incredilby rich in story telling and very dramatic in cultural elements.

I was pleased to see how eloquently Disney On Ice captured the story and the parasol scene was my favorite.

The Dragon was spectacular as well!

Here are some highlights of the evening.

Not only is Disney On Ice true to Disney artistry-- the skaters are skilled! One of them was simply "JAWsome."

The music is wonderful, the audience engaged and our children are always THRILLED to be there!
100 ways to say it, 40 million ways to twist the words but let's K.I.S.S. people.  Keep It Simple Silly.

There's No Show Like Disney on Ice.

Don't forget our tips:

Grab some glow stick necklaces at the dollar store and save yourself a buck or 16.

The ice is BRRRR.. chilly!
