Slap Bracelets

Supplies:

*Slap bracelets (I found these at Wal-Mart in the birthday section in a pack of 4 for less than $1!
*Fake fur-  In case you’ve never scoured the isles for this product, this is available at the craft store near the feathers… who knew!  I bet you could also find some funky colors but my store only had black or white.  If you’re doing this for a classroom party, you might want to stick with the same color to cut back on your supply list.

*Googly eyes, jewels or anything other small items such as spiders or even stickers!  If having kids decorate them, you can either use white glue or buy the items that already have the adhesive included!

Step 1:  Use the bracelet to measure the amount of fur to cut for one side of the bracelet.

TIP ALERT: Remember to put something under the fur as you cut it!  It makes a mess!!  I actually ended up almost petting the excess off of the are which I cut.

Step 2:  Use hot glue to adhere the fur to the bracelet. *Make sure to glue it to the correct side so it can still “slap” closed… not that I made this mistake of course!!
Step 3: Put your decorations on using glue or glue gun.   Use your imagination and have fun!
**Once the fur is on, the bracelets doesn’t quite “snap” as well as before but we had no problems manually closing ours and it stayed put!

This is a super cute craft and could even be done as a craft for a classroom party if you do the hot glue gun prior to the kid event.
