Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove Our Review

February 28-March 3

By Kim Inkenhaus of Macaroni Kid Pittsburgh LLC February 21, 2013

I am awestruck!  I am …ahem…years old and my eyes are as wide as any kid! We just returned from seeing Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove.  It is all of your favorite characters and stories under one roof.   They had the new favorites of today from Rapunzel and Flynn and Princess Tiana to the ones I grew up with like Snow White and Cinderella.

You know you will see amazing skating and this production surely delivered that!  But what you do not expect is the props they use to tell their story.  They have Peter Pan and Tinker Bell flying high above your head and then giant alligators swallowing up Captain Hook.

And the flying carpet carrying Aladdin and Jasmine is simply one of the coolest things around!

To do the unexpected with excellence that is the Disney trademark!  The lanterns floating in the air, the cards in the Alice in Wonderland standing so straight and tall, to the elephant that takes the ice….it’s perfection.  It is a massive production on the grandest of scales and the smallest of details.  You will totally forget you are watching a production on ice!

As a parent I loved the fact that they told enough of the stories so you knew what was going on, in case you hadn’t read them before, but not every little detail.  It is fast paced to say the least.   The time will fly by!  Last year we saw the show that came to town 100 Years of Magic and loved it.  We assumed this show would be extremely similar.  We were wrong.  This has so many new aspects from last year’s show you must see it!  Your kids will love you for it!

So go and grab your seats up now!
