My four year old son was so excited to see the Monster Jam®, show at Consol Energy Center.He LOVES Gravedigger and had his engines racing the entire way to the show!We have been to this show before so we knew to expect big trucks, big races and big fun!!I always love to watch the crowd at shows like this because not only are there so many families that view it together but I love seeing fathers and their sons and daughters sharing something that the Dad’s really enjoy!!
There were lots of fun interviews before with some of the people involved in the show and the emcee for these shows always does a great job!They honored the Police, Fire, EMS, Government Officials and Armed Forces by having them stand as they played “I’m Proud to be an American” and I think that is always a special moment.Just a little reminder and a way to pay tribute to them!!
If you’ve never been to a show, it’s divided into different categories and there is a winner for each!My son’s favorite was the racing section and my daughter loved the wheelies!!They award a plaque at the end of each competition and I won’t spoil the surprise BUT at the show I saw, they did something very special with the plaques!!
There is some set up time between competitions and the occasional break down but during the down times, they have people launching t-shirts into the stands and keeping the crowd going!It also allowed for the kids to take their ear phone or ear plugs out for a moment to get little break.If you have kids, I highly recommend ear plugs or noise reducing ear phones especially if you’re close to the action.Adults, it’s not a bad idea to stick some extra ones in your pockets for you because there is an incredibly loud Smart Car… yes you read that correctly!!!Wait until you see what they did to a Smart Car!! There are so many more surprises that you wouldn't believe if I told you!
This is a fun show that is perfect for boys, girls, families and even a date night!!

The Party in the Pits on Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17 both begin at 11am to give fans the opportunity to get a view of the trucks up close and meet the drivers of the massive monster trucks. Pit Passes are available to purchase for ticket holders of the 2pm shows for an additional $10 – a limited number of Pit Passes will be available.
