The Kiski School Sports Academy offers a variety of different sports camps including lacrosse, soccer, basketball, football and an All-Sports Camp for ages 8-16. Some of the camps are co-educational. All the camps are held on the School's beautiful 350-acre campus and include lunch in the school's Dining Hall and a camp tee-shirt.
LACROSSE
Lacrosse, June 11-15 or June 18-22, boys only, ages 10-14: 9-3 daily.
Coached by Chris Spahn, Director of Athletics and Kiski lacrosse coach for the past eight years. Twice voted U.S. Coach of the Year in high school lacrosse, Coach Spahn captured the western Pa Championship at Kiski in 2008. He coaches youth travel programs and works at various lacrosse camps at several universities.
SOCCER
Soccer, June 11-15, for boys and girls, ages 8-12, 9-3 daily.
Soccer, June 18-22, for boys and girls, ages 12-15, 9-3 daily.
Coached by Jacob Backon a nationally accredited soccer coach who has coached at Kiski for the past five years. He was head coach for the past three years and captured the IPSL Championship this past fall. He played soccer for Bard College, a Division III school and won two HVMAC conference titles, three HVMAC tournament championships and captained the team in his senior year.
BASKETBALL
Basketball, June 18-22 or July 6-10, for boys and girls, ages 6-16, 9-3 daily.
Coached by Daryn Freedman who serves as Director of Basketball Stars of America, LLC. providing year-round basketball programs in the western Pa. region. He has held positions with the NBA's New Jersey Nets and Philadelphia 76ers as well as Division I Schools including: University of Memphis, UMass, Northeastern University and Duquesne University. He has been Kiski's basketball coach for the past three seasons and has ranked in the Top 25 Prep basketball teams in the country in each season.
ALL SPORTS CAMP
All-Sports Camp, June 25-29 or August 13-17, for boys and girls, ages 5-15, 9-3 daily. Coached by Daryn Freedman this camp includes a variety of sports for campers.
FOOTBALL
Football, June 25-29, boys only, ages 8-13, 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
In 2007 Coach Perry joined The Kiski School as an assistant varsity football coach and became Head Football Coach in the 2010-2011 season. He was also Head Football Coach at St. Paul's School in Concord, NH in 2000 and in 2004 moved to the Westminster School in Simsbury, CT as assistant football coach and then Varsity Football Head Coach. While at Westminster he coached back-to-back winning seasons. Coach Perry has extensive experience both as a player and coach on both sides of the ball.
