Description
Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is hosting its celebration of all things winter, GLOW, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. This is a special once a year nighttime winter festival for kids and families that are looking to get back outdoors and break up the winter doldrums.
The annual festival features hands-on, glowing and illuminating activities and exhibits, including:
- Outdoors (weather permitting):
- LED obstacle course
- Giant black light spin art
- Fire pit for roasting marshmallows
- Indoors:
- Collaborative neon glow art making
- Light and shadow play in MAKESHOP
- Guest artist Lori Hepner with Interactive Light Installation in Art Studio
- Storytelling in the Kindness Gallery
- Black light dance party in the Garage
- Color and light play in the Nursery
- Exploring bioluminescence in Waterplay
- Face painting
- Glow Down Artist Competition in the Cafe
Tickets are $8 per person for members and non-members, and children under 2 are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.pittsburghkids.org or in person at the Admissions Desk. Museums for All discounted tickets of $5 per person are available to PA Access and PA Access card holders (card and photo ID required).
Members will receive a special gift for each child in their party at the admissions desk during check in – a glow in the dark aero prop & glowstick jewelry (while supplies last).
Refreshments will be available beginning at 5:00 p.m. from Urban Trail Coffee Cart (outdoors) and at 5:30 p.m. from Bean Sprouts Café (indoors).
Parking is available in Children’s Museum lots ($8), at the nearby Nova Place garage and on-street.

GLOW evening activities will take place outdoors and on all three floors of the Children’s Museum.
