Solar Eclipse Day @ Phipps Conservatory

See a rare natural phenomenon from Pittsburgh’s green oasis.

As you’ve probably heard, on Mon., April 8, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, and Pennsylvania is among the states expected to get a pretty good view of this rare and beautiful sight. To celebrate the occasion, Phipps is making a limited number of eclipse glasses available to visitors. Stop by our front desk between 1 – 4 p.m. to claim a pair while supplies last, then tour our Spring Flower Show: A Closer Look and step onto our sun terrace (doors near the fish tank in our Tropical Forest Conservatory) or front lawn between 3:10 – 3:20 pm. to take in the sight.

PLEASE NOTE: Glasses are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
