Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy

In December 1996, a passionate group of citizens came together with a vision: to revive and rejuvenate Pittsburgh's historic city parks. Thus, the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy was born. This non-profit powerhouse partners closely with the City of Pittsburgh through a dynamic public-private partnership, aiming to restore and elevate the city's park system to its fullest glory. Since its inception, the Parks Conservancy has impressively raised over $145 million, transforming dreams into reality with 23 major park improvement projects. With dedicated staff, supporters, and volunteers, the Conservancy orchestrates hundreds of vibrant events and enriches the lives of over 7,500 children each year through engaging programming. For those seeking a touch of magic, the Conservancy offers exclusive rental opportunities at three stunning venues: the Frick Environmental Center, the Schenley Park Visitors Center, and Schenley Plaza. Celebrate life's special moments with unforgettable birthday packages at the charming PNC Carousel, nestled in the heart of the Plaza. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is not just preserving parks; it's cultivating a legacy of community, nature, and joy.
