Creative kids and nature lovers alike can attend a variety of week-long camps at Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History. We invite all artists and explorers to wander among real dinosaurs, play with clay, design a city for the future, become fashion designers—and more! Oakland camps run June 3 through August 23, Monday–Friday. Morning sign-in runs from 8:45–9:15 a.m. and afternoon sign‒out is at 3 p.m.

Full-day camps are available for campers ages 6–13 at both museums. Half‒day camps are available for campers ages 4–5 at both museums (these camps are recommended for children who have finished a full year of full-day kindergarten or preschool). Powdermill Nature Reserve offers full‒day camps for ages 6–12.

Teens in grades 9–12 can find offerings through Youth Art Studio Summer at Carnegie Museum of Art in fine arts, photography, filmmaking, art and activism, sculpture, and more. Youth Art Studio offers diverse formats such as once‒a‒week, full‒week, two‒week, half‒day, and two-day studio workshops at the museum and off-site partners.
