Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is celebrating a Year of Kindness with a different kindness-raising focus each month in 2026.
WHEN: May 1 – 31, 2026
WHAT: Year of Kindness – May: As part of the Children’s Museum’s Year of Kindness, community members are invited to support local youth and families by donating new or gently used sports equipment and outdoor activity supplies.
The collection is organized in collaboration with Urban Impact, a nonprofit organization providing holistic community outreach through programs in education, athletics and the performing arts, working to strengthen Pittsburgh’s North Side one person, one family and one block at a time.
HOW: A collection bin will be available inside the Children’s Museum during open hours. A full list of collection items can be found here.
