I am optimistic. I keep seeing hearts, everywhere, as we usher in a Lunar New Year. This Year of the Horse begins on a special February 17th, relieves the final shedding of the Snake, hosts a solar eclipse and transitions from Aquarius to Pisces seasons. In the spirit of love, meet tree hugging fanatic, Jax Ramirez. This precious soul is a big fan of outdoor adventures and thrusted in powerful legacy story his own. Living with a life-threatening IPEX Syndrome, our young Southwest, PA neighbor is the first pediatric patient accepted into this FDA clinical trial at Stanford University.

Like it or not, he is bravely navigating his childhood on his body’s terms. To date, results have been promising, but more is required. His contribution is advancing research and treatments for all current/future diagnosis of this immune compromising condition.
