Readers, start your engines! We took our two boys to the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks live show last night. Although they are older, and I wasn’t sure if they had grown out of this stage in life. I was surprised at how much everyone enjoyed themselves. Needless to say, this Hot Wheels live show is not one to be missed!

The crowd was packed with children of all ages, teens, and adults cheering on their favorite monster trucks and motocross drivers!
There was a smell of methanol fuel in the air that fueled the crowd with excitement! This smell brought back memories for me as a child visiting Drag Racing tracks with my parents.
The floor trembled as the Monster truck engines roared. Each truck was covered in bright neon lights and got to show off their amazing talent.
The show started with an assortment of competitions between all the Monster trucks. Competitions consisted of Jumps, Donuts, long jump, and freestyle toward the champion cup. Watching the cars getting crushed reminded me of watching the demolition derby as a kid. My favorite part was watching the monster trucks do donuts.

After the intermission, we saw a huge inflatable ramp being set up. I wasn’t sure what surprise we were in for next until we saw the motocross bikes. This epic freestyle motocross show filled with an array of flips and tricks. This was our boys’ favorite part! The motocross team showcased daring tricks including: One handed flip, Front flips, Back flips, twist flips, Superman, and even flips with no hands on the bars!! It was EPIC!! At one point we saw one of the drivers laying down on the bike while it was still in the air! The crowd was cheering them on as they performed these gravity defying stunts. Everyone was on the edge of their seats watching the show. I personally was holding my breath until each of them landed safely, but it was a pretty awesome show. Thank you to MacaroniKID Pittsburgh City, for letting us see this amazing show.
