This year, the city offers a variety of family-friendly Pride events that promise fun, education, and unity for all ages. From parades and festivals to story hours and art workshops, here’s a look at some of the highlights you and your family can enjoy throughout the month.

Pittsburgh Pride - Still We Rise

Friday, May 31, 2024 | The Opening Celebration

  • Time: 2 – 8PM
  • Location: Allegheny Commons Park West
  • Details: Featuring 30+ local artist, a headlining performances by The First Ladies of Disco, and a special opening act by the #1 Beyonce’ impersonator in the USA;  Riley Knoxx.

Saturday, June 1, 2024 | Pittsburgh Pride March + Celebration

  • Time: 10AM – 8PM
  • Location: Allegheny Commons Park West
  • March Details: Participants start lining up at 10AM on Liberty Avenue at 11th Street, stepping off at noon, and arriving at the park by 1PM.
  • Festival Details: The park opens at 11AM, with the local performances featuring 40+ LGBTQIA+ artist starting at 2PM, headlined by Grammy nominated,power-house vocalist, and television personality; Tamar Braxton.

Sunday, June 2, 2024 | Pride Festival Closing Block Party

  • Time: 2 – 8PM
  • Location: Bloomfield (near Trace Brewery & COBRA)
  • Details: The day features live entertainment, food, and activities, marking the conclusion of Pittsburgh Pride 2024. 30+ local artist will hit the stage alongside special performances by Co-Headliners; Manny DiBiachi (Hip Hop), Heading North (Rock Band), and the Be Gay (Do Crime) Drag Collective, setting the stage for the main event featuring, tik-tok viral sensation The Real X Man.

Loud & Proud Music Festival

Sunday, June 2nd 

  • Time: 1 - 9PM
  • Location: Orsmby Avenue Cafe
  • Details: LOUD & PROUD is an independent LGBTQ+ music and arts festival spotlighting LGBTQ+ talent from the Greater Pittsburgh area and surrounding regions. All proceeds from admissions to the Loud & Proud Music Festival benefit the Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation - raising the health of the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities in Western Pennsylvania. Join us at Ormsby Avenue Cafe (outdoor space) for a day of unforgettable performances, incredible LGBTQ+ art and craft vendors, and community camaraderie! The Loud & Proud Music Festival will kick off at 1pm and run through 9pm at the outdoor space adjacent to Ormsby Avenue Cafe. The venue is located at 402 Ormsby Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15210. Pride Night at the Pittsburgh Pirates

Friday, June 7th

  • Time: 6:40PM
  • Location: PNC Park
  • Details:  Join the Pittsburgh Pirates for their annual Pride Night at PNC Park, a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community within the Pirates fan base, the Pittsburgh community, and all of Major League Baseball.
    By purchasing a special game ticket to the Pirates Pride Night game, presented by Duquesne Light Company, fans will receive an exclusive Pirates Pride "P" Bucket Hat and have the opportunity to make a donation to support local LGBTQIA+ non profit organizations in our community.
    Following the Pride Night game, fans should plan to stick around for a special postgame Zambelli Fireworks show presented by Duquesne Light Company!

Ross Pride

LGBTQ+ Youth Prom

  • Location: Andy Warhol Museum
  • Details:  Join the Andy Warhol Museum for a circus-themed celebration to remember, celebrating the tenth anniversary of the iconic LGBTQ+ Youth Prom, the largest affirming prom in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Whether you show up as a circus clown, a tattooed lady, or in traditional prom attire, this inclusive party is a place for every young person to create treasured memories. Entry to prom includes dinner, dancing, art activities, and much more. Prom is open to all youth ages 13–18 regardless of how they identify.

Color Fun & Run

  • Location: Riverwalk Memorial Park
  • Details:  Join the HOYT Art Center for a free celebration of inclusivity as we color the streets of downtown New Castle! This family-friendly event offers music, games, art vendors & activities, food trucks and more! Learn a little about LGBTQ+ history and explore community resources for support and advocacy. You do not need to run to participate! One block ‘young run’ at 5:30 pm. All age fun run at 6 pm (registration required). Bring a t-shirt for tie dye and wear your most colorful outfit! Prizes will be announced every half hour. Open to all!

WMNBikePGH Pride Month Group Ride

Tuesday, June 18th

  • Location: Schenley Plaza Garden
  • Details: Join BikePGH’s Women and Non-Binary Program for our “Pride Month” no-drop bike ride! If you’ve been waiting for the chance to get active on two wheels with a group of friendly and welcoming cyclists, these rides are the ticket for you. BikePGH’s Women and Non-Binary Program is inclusive of trans and cis women, intersex people, non-binary, genderqueer, agender, and gender variant folks as well as those whose gender identity falls outside of the dominant conceptions of gender. The program encourages conversation and spaces to come together over biking, advocacy, and related topics while increasing representation of people who have historically marginalized gender identities.

  • Details: Pride Millvale is an annual celebration that is organized entirely by volunteers who work to create a safe, supportive, loving, fun, and inclusive event for members of the queer community and the allies who stand with them. We recognize that visibility is crucial in raising awareness and increasing acceptance about identities that have been historically marginalized. This FREE event is entirely created, organized, funded, and enacted by volunteers.

Family Pride Night at the Pittsburgh Zoo

  • Details: Come to Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation's picnic, and celebrate LGBTQ+ Chosen Family Pride with the people most important to you! Chosen family, come on out! LGBTQ+ caregivers and your kiddos, you're welcome here! Anyone LGBTQ+ and the people most important to you. This Pride event centers youth and families of all stripes.
