Join us at the Allegheny County Parks for free Fall fun. We can’t wait to see you at Hay Day, Campfire Ghost Stories, Drive-In Movies, Punkin’ Chunkin’ and Trunk or Treat!

Hay Day 

Sunday, October 3, Noon — 4:00 pm at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater

Enjoy hay rides, arts & crafts, barnyard petting zoo, face painting, inflatables, balloon artist, puppet show, magician, games and more! Food, beverages and snacks will be available for purchase from local food trucks and vendors.

Ghost Stores

Listen to spooky stories and songs by the glow of a roaring campfire! Wear a Halloween costume for a chance to win prizes! Physical distancing will be observed.  All stories are told between 7:00-8:00 pm.

Family Drive-In Movies 

Join us this fall for our Drive-in Movie Series! All movies are free and begin once the sun sets. Gates open at 5:30 pm.

Nightmare Before Christmas (PG)

October 15 – Hartwood Acres Amphitheater

Punkin Chunkin 

Saturday, October 23rd from 11 am - 4 pm at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater

Join Allegheny County Parks and SHARP Robotics from the Sarah Heinz House as we launch pumpkins across the amphitheater field with a full-size trebuchet! Free Activities include:

  • Arts & Crafts
  • Games
  • Face Painter
  • Balloon Art
  • The Duelists will teach 5 sessions of "Intro to Medieval Sword Fighting" at: 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30

Trunk or Treat

Wear your Halloween costume and join us for candy and fun! Car cruise cars will pass out candy and treats to kids and families that attend. We encourage participants to decorate their vehicles, bring candy, and dress up in their best Halloween costumes! Events take place from Noon – 2:00 pm.
