Pittsburgh Public School District announced this morning that they will be delaying the start of 2021-2022 school year until September 8th, 2021 this year. Teachers will now report back August 30th. The district has stated the delay in the start of school is a result of continued lack of transportation, end of the summer heat concerns, and the increase in Covid-19 related concerns. The last day of school will also now be pushed back to June 22nd for students and the 24th for teachers.
