Calling All Dill Devotees and Pickle Peeps 🥒

Dill-ivering the Best Picklesburgh Requires Can-didates Who Relish the Unusual!

July 29, 2021

This year's Picklesburgh looks to be the shiniest and briniest yet, with a brand new 35' Heinz pickle balloon flying over the 7th Street (Andy Warhol) Bridge and the pickle party extending down onto Ft. Duquesne Boulevard.

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership is currently searching for Dill Devotees and Pickle Peeps to volunteer for this unique Pittsburgh event on Friday, August 20, Saturday, August 21, and Sunday, August 22. Volunteers must be 18 or older; enthusiasm and a willingness to help us keep the lid on all our pickle priorities are the only other requirements.

Besides getting an uncommon slice of the Picklesburgh action, you'll also receive a special volunteer t-shirt, a coveted Heinz pickle pin, snacks & beverages, free parking, and our appreciation for bringing all things pickled to the Pittsburgh community.

Our volunteer needs include wristbanding, beverage pouring, beverage greeter, program assistant, merchandise assistant, kids' activity area and information tent support, and more. However you participate, it will be a memorable experience that you'll relish for a lifetime - so join the fun, make Downtown vibrant, and find out why this is such a big dill to our region!

The short application to volunteer is available at Picklesburgh.com/Become-a-Volunteer

Established in 2015, Picklesburgh has been voted the #1 Specialty Food Festival in the Country for two consecutive years by readers of USA Today. This popular festival is a culinary celebration that goes beyond the dill pickle to include international dishes, prepared foods, and artisan cocktails that feature pickled ingredients; an embrace of the farm-to-table movement and the rising popularity of canning; a selection of handcrafted foods and artisan cocktails from local restaurants; merchandise such as pickled goods, books, and DIY products; and live music.
