DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership today announced the launch of three outdoor workspaces at the Allegheny Overlook Pop-Up Park on Fort DuquesneBoulevard. The workspaces are available for free with an online reservation, and feature Knoll Furnitureprovided by Workscape, surrounded by elegant planters and custom pergolas.

The riverside locale was created to provide a unique outdoor opportunity for individuals and businesses to hold collaborative team meetings, host an office lunch, or simply get out of the house to work a new scenic location overlooking the Allegheny River.

“We’re excited to welcome people back to work in Downtown, and the Allegheny Overlook is an incredible place for workers to interact with their colleagues in-person and revisit that collaborative office culture we have all been missing. You’ll find comfortable seating and a colorful environment with riverside views to ease that transition back to in-person work,” noted Jeremy Waldrup, CEO and president of the PDP. “It’s also wonderfully easy to shift from your ‘work’ day, over to some very nearby ‘play’ options with the beer garden for drinks, several food options, live music, games, and much more to experience before your commute home.

”Reservation for the three uniquely named; Bertoia, Saarinen and Florence, workspaces can be made through the PDP’s website. Open Monday through Friday, from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm, the spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with an early booking for your meeting or business gathering highly recommended. Ginny Rothschild, CEO of Workscape, a PA certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) currently celebrating its 25th year in business, relayed her excitement about the space, “The Allegheny Overlooklocation allowed us to reimagine how we could incorporate Knoll products to transform an ordinary downtown street into an innovative outdoor workspace. Workscape and Knoll certainly appreciate the collaboration with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, and we can’t wait to see how the three outdoor conference room spaces are utilized throughout the summer.

”Named to the Pittsburgh Business Times “Fast 100” 3 times over the last 10 years, Workscape is an exclusive Knoll and DIRTT dealer in the Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia Region and has partnered with local and national businesses to build some of the area’s most iconic office environments. Knoll, who offer modern design for high-performance workplaces, work from home settings and luxury residential interiors, provided all the furniture for the workspaces.

“While there is active debate about the future of the office, nothing today can replace the mix of culture, connectivity and creativity it offers,” stated Andrea Korade, who represents Knoll in Pittsburgh.“A new forward-thinking definition of the workplace ecosystem is emerging characterized by a flexibility in where and when one works—a hybrid between in-office collaboration as the hub of activity and the convenience of remote work options. Knoll is delighted, along with Workscape and the PittsburghDowntown Partnership, to bring a new flexible option for working Downtown, in this outdoor space located in the Allegheny Overlook”

Details on the new workspaces, along with a reservation calendar and details of other Allegheny Overlookattractions, are all available on the PDP website at: DowntownPittsburgh.com.
