When you read articles that tell you how to use the skills you have to get the perfect job, they couldn't be more correct! I was a "mommy blogger" for years in the "blogosphere" and the posts I wrote garnished a lot of attention and a large audience. Subsequently I developed a twitter site @SupahMommy for my blog persona and the rest was history!
I took what I loved-- sharing my life--- and I turned it into a business! My twitter following became an asset and in time Macaroni Kid National ( the wonderful company that these sites are developed through) asked me to head up their NATIONAL MONTHLY TWITTER PARTIES! I had the following they initially needed to effectively use social media for large advertiser promotions. From there, we grew together!
Over 6 years we've developed a wonderful relationship that allows me to write effective twitter parties and twitter chats that help to market the promotions, offerings and goods of HUGE brand name companies!
With Macaroni Kid National's help I've worked and moderated twitter parties for over 100 clients with large corporate names such as Walmart, OshKoshbGosh, Unilever, Egglands Best Eggs, Happy Family Organics, Dr. Smith's, the author of Knufflebunny, Moe Williams, Disney Jr., WWE and MORE.! It has been the best time and I've been able to financially add to my portfolio of work at home opportunities.
My point is this. (and the point of so many other mom's in this special edition)_ Take what you CAN do and do something with it.
I had NO idea what a TWITTER PARTY was and it was during a time when twitter parties were VERY NEW. I took every opportunity, like any opportunity in front of you, to learn what I could to be able to give it 200%.
