Each of these ideas can be stretched to accomodate a myriad of toys. It's trial and error and you are welcome to test them out for yourselves. We showed off the items we felt best fit the toy need in OUR homes. Your home might be different! Barbie Doll Pocket Holder
I needed a spot that would organize and display all of my daugther's barbies and the likes there of. We have so many that it's embarrassing. I saw several over the door pocket holders used but some of the pockets are too wide and don't snugly hold a barbie doll. So I set out to MAKE ONE myself.
I used an old curtain and by trial and error I figured it out.
TARGET
Barbie Dolls,their kin folk, BFF's and friends.
GOAL
A place to DISPLAY them that they won't fall out of.
Something that would be easy for my 4 year old to use.
HOW TO
* old fabric, I used a curtain
* PVC Pipe or LONG thick dowel rod
* you can use a curtain rod -- if you get a sturdy one and don't plan on many barbies. A middle support bracket is needed regardless because of the weight.
* sewing machine or stitch witch (though expensive!)
* iron if using stitch witch
* PVC piping
*curtain rod brackets at least 3
Mine is way to heavy but it's totally awesome and functional. The girls love to put their Barbies " in their place" and SO DO I!
I used this site as my inspiration and simply created a fabric version on my own in a custom size.

It did! Other than the surprise "weight" factor I didn't consider it worked like a charm.
