Pittsburgh Mommy Resources: Our Favorite Local Mom Support Groups

Motherhood is an incredible journey, but it can also feel overwhelming at times. Whether you're a new mom navigating sleepless nights, a seasoned parent looking for connection, or facing unique challenges, having a supportive community makes all the difference. Fortunately, Pittsburgh offers a variety of mom support groups—both in-person and virtual—where you can find advice, encouragement, and friendship. From postpartum and breastfeeding support to groups for working moms, single moms, and those parenting children with special needs, there's a space for every mother to connect. Below, we've linked some of our favorite Pittsburgh mom/parenting groups. 

Pittsburgh City/General

  • Pittsburgh Moms Connect: A community aimed at connecting mothers in the Pittsburgh area to share experiences, advice, and local resources.
  • Pittsburgh Moms: A platform providing a voice to all moms in Greater Pittsburgh, offering content to connect them with local and national resources. 
  • More Than Moms: Pittsburgh edition ❤️: Just some local moms looking to provide support to other local moms ❤️
  • Pittsburgh Mamas: A group so moms out there can have a little extra support. Being a mom can sometimes be lonely but I’m here to try and fix that! Let’s share advice, stories, ask questions. Mommy related or not!! 
  • The Pittsburgh Mommy Club🤞🏾💛🖤: Where Mommies can get together to tell stories, share ideas, set play dates and just help each other out❤️ we gotta Stick together✊🏾

West

  • Burgettstown Moms: A group for moms in Burgettstown, PA, to set up playdates, share ideas and events, and offer a safe space to vent. 
  • Pittsburgh West Moms: Designed to support each other, love families better, and navigate parenthood together. All mothers, including grandparents and aunts, are welcome. 
  • Bellevue/Avalon Moms (Pittsburgh, PA): A group for families in the towns of Bellevue and Avalon to connect, post events, and find resources within our little community. This group is for female identifying or non-binary/gender fluid individuals who are parenting, step-parenting, kinship parenting or fostering children. 

East

South

  • Upper St. Clair Moms: A private group for mothers living in Upper St. Clair to connect and share local information. 
  • West Mifflin Mom Group: A place for moms in West Mifflin, PA, to come together, share good vibes, ask questions, and support each other. 
  • South Hills Mom Business: A community for moms in the South Hills area to connect and support local mom-owned businesses.
  • CANONSBURG Area Moms!: A group for moms and grandmothers to connect, set up playdates, seek advice, share local events, and support each other.
  • Peters Township Moms: A community for moms in Peters Township to connect and share local information and events.
  • The REAL Moms of South Hills: A welcoming group for all moms in the South Hills, emphasizing open discussion without fear of unwarranted removal. 
  • South Hills Working Moms: A space for working moms in the South Hills to share ideas about balancing the demands of work and motherhood.

North

Specific Audience Groups

  • Pittsburgh Mom-Owned Businesses (Advice, Deals, Promotions, Support): A platform for mom entrepreneurs in Pittsburgh to offer advice, share deals and promotions, and support each other's businesses.
  • Pittsburgh Mom Small Business Network: Pittsburgh Mom Small Business Network is designed to help build businesses of local moms in Pittsburgh. 
  • Kidical Mass PittsburghThis is a local, Pittsburgh-based group where caregivers can connect to plan rides, get tips, share resources, and advocate together for safer streets
  • Hike it Baby Southwest Pennsylvania: Creates opportunities and removes barriers to access so families with babies and young children can take their first steps outside. They believe all families have the right to connect with nature, benefit from spending time outdoors, and be inspired to a lifelong love of nature.
  • Minds Of All Kinds Parent Page: Our mission is to create fun and safe events in a judgement free environment for individuals on the spectrum and their families.

  • Connected Nest: Connecting community to help empower those on the journey to, through and beyond parenthood. Their mission is to create connections for those on the journey to, through & beyond parenthood to increase solidarity and support during transitions and challenges.
