Throughout the year, Macaroni Kid brings you the scoop. Now it is YOUR turn to tell us YOUR family’s top go-to choices to enrich, entertain, and EXHAUST your kids in YOUR local area!
We want to know about the businesses that just plain make your life easier as a parent! Let’s make this a FUN way to highlight the wonderful local businesses that make the City of Pittsburgh THE BEST place to live, shop, eat, and play!
How Do You Get Started?
From now through November 1, 2014 simply nominate your favorite businesses! Nominate as many or as few businesses as you would like. Businesses must be located in Allegheny County – with a few exceptions that we have noted. Only one submission per email address please; you must be a subscriber to the newsletter to nominate. You can subscribe here.

Nominate and vote for your favorites and you'll be entered for a chance to win one of four $25 gift cards to a Macaroni Kid favorite "hot spot!" We will be drawing a winners during the nomination and voting periods!
What's In It For The Businesses?
We will announce the winners of each category in an upcoming issue in November! The winning business in each category will receive free placement in the our Business Directory for yearlong recognition in our Macaroni Kid newsletter, a 2014 Macaroni Kid Golden Daisy Awards certificate to display at their place of business, and the honor of knowing that local City of Pittsburgh area families think they are the greatest!

RULES: Only one submission per email address. The nomination period will run from Monday September 29, 2014 at 9 AM through Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:59 PM. The voting period will run from Monday, November 10, 2014 through Sunday November 30, 2014 at 11:59 PM. All eligible persons nominating and voting in the 2014 Macaroni Kid City of Pittsburgh Gold Daisy Awards will be entered to win one of four $25 gift cards to a local Macaroni Kid City of Pittsburgh Hot Spot! Drawings for gift cards will take place during the nominatino and voting periods at the discretion of Macaroni Kid of Pittsburgh LLC.
. Winners will be selected from all eligible entries using Random.org. Winners will be notified by email and will have 48 hours to claim the prize.
