Spring Cleaning Just Got Easier!

By Jennifer Green April 12, 2017

What better way to get ready for the warmer weather than to de-clutter your house? We’ve rounded up a list of apps that will help make the process so much easier (and faster!) so you can get outside and take advantage of the nice days!

Amazon Seller

Android

iPhone

It seems like you can’t talk about technology without mentioning the Big Kahuna, Amazon. What’s interesting about this platform is that it is geared towards people with businesses, so if you’re the crafty type and want to sell your wares (in addition to what’s in your garage), this might be worth considering. In addition to features like being able to quickly respond to messages from buyers and tracking your sales and payments, the app also offers you access to the support team that Amazon is famous for, because, let’s face it: running an online business is tough. It helps to have a team behind you!

5Miles

As the names suggests, this app is all about connecting buyers and sellers within a five mile radius of each other. What’s nifty about this one is that it lets you voice record, so you can add detailed descriptions of your items without the hassle of typing out long paragraphs on a tiny keyboard. The app has safety in mind, so it lets users verify their identity by phone or through Facebook, and allows buyers and sellers to communicate over the app and keeps contact info secure.

LetGo

Want to expand your search/sales area? This app lets you filter items by distance, so it gives you a bit more reach than 5Miles. Like most of the apps on this list, LetGo allows users to communicate via the app, so you don’t have to worry about sharing your person contact information.

Dealo

Android

Dealo provides local listings but sellers can also ship their items to non-local buyers, and uses PayPal for transactions.

Mercari

This free app doesn’t take a commission so that means more money in your pocket. What’s great about this app is that it allows sellers to post their listings to social media, giving you more traction for each item you’re selling. The app also lets you track shipments to your buyers.

Ebay

The original web-based garage sale store has gone mobile! Take a picture of the item you want to sell and the Ebay team gets to work making sure the right buyers find your stuff. It lets you easily track your buying and selling, and it even lets you track your favorite sellers and searches. The app “learns your tastes” and can suggest items that match, so it can quickly bring buyers and sellers together.
